Sample Separation Flow Cells

One key trend in the life sciences world is to be more efficient with samples, reagents and consumables.  The cumulative price tag for all of these can add up to hundreds or thousands of dollars per test, so naturally users are pressuring life sciences tools providers to be innovative.  One way to reduce the cost of reactions is to use microarray surfaces more efficiently, and that is where sample separator flow cells come into play.   These flow cells allow users to distribute small volumes of samples and reagents from multichannel pipette systems to restricted volumes on microarray reaction surfaces.  Typically there are two philosophical approaches to sample separators – inexpensive one-time use or more expensive multi-use devices.
