About Sialon Ceramics

Sialon, which stands for Silicon Aluminum Oxynitride (SiN-SiO2-Al2O3-AlN), is a Silicon Nitride ceramic with a small percentage of Aluminum Oxide added. Sialon is a gray, nonporous, engineering material with good thermal shock resistance, high strength, and is not corroded by aluminum, brass, bronze, or other common industrial metals.

Sialon Applications

  • Vacuum parts
  • Refractory components
  • Heat sinks
