About Robax®

Robax®, manufactured by Schott Glass, is a heat-resistant, transparent glass-ceramic. Because of its good transmission characteristics in the infrared, Robax® is often used in applications where optical visibility and thermal radiation are desirable. Like many glasses, it has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, high operating temperature, and good thermal shock resistance.
