Sample Siphon Rods

Application:  Sample preparation is the process by which biological material from plants or animals are fragmented, amplified, purified, verified and then reacted with one of the many methods of measuring biological activity (genotyping, ELISA, sequencing, electrophoresis, etc.).  Sample preparation is tedious, time consuming and expensive,  so robotically automated sample preparation work cells were developed  to accommodate the high throughput needs of the drug discovery industry.  Siphon rods are one way of transferring sample and reagents among reaction vessels.

Features:  These Zirconia siphon rods are centerless ground from rod stock, diced to length to within a 10um tolerance and then the surface is super finished 2um Ra.
