Sapphire Optical Windows

Application:  Applications operating in the infrared regime or in extremely harsh thermomechanical environments often turn to sapphire optics, in spite of the fact that sapphire is expensive and much more challenging to work with than glass.  The optical windows shown here are used with an optical system designed for very high temperature and pressures.

Features:  The single crystal sapphire window diameter and chamfers are ground to within 25um.
